Check out this gorgeous new jewelry line called “Arbor” from Sarah Hood Jewelry. Tree imagery is big right now in textiles and 2d art, and this jewelry proves why. It manages to be sexy, spooky and swoon-worthy all at the same time. I love the pieces with 24k gold leaves…the gold really pops against the silver, especially in the oxidized versions. This is art jewelry, some of it one of a kind, and priced accordingly. If you’re looking for something more affordable (...guys, the holidays are coming up!) Hood also has an Etsy shop with dozens of unique pieces at very reasonable prices. Keep an eye on this designer. Her sense of design is sharp and her craftsmanship looks impeccable.  Branching off from my recent Landscape series, Arbor highlights the stark silhouette of nearly bare sterling silver and 24k gold trees. Each piece is ultimately wearable, but still covetable and collectible, the perfect combination. These pieces speak to my love of the natural but somehow grow beyond that, entering a new realm of almost fairytale-like beauty.
