What can you get for a penny today…Nothing but with companies still pricing in the uneven number the penny is still around. I mean where we would be with out the .99 cent stores (that is best place to find a deal). The treasury department has unveiled the change to the little Lincoln penny. These changes will happen next year on the 200th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth.  Now the new penny will be sporting a log cabin and young Lincoln sitting on log with an axe

The U.S. Mint unveiled the new designs during a ceremony Monday at the Lincoln Memorial. The coin changes are part of the government's commemoration next year of the 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birth. (usatoday)
