Environmental groups all over the world would throw a collective hissy fit if they saw French fashion designer Romain Kremer’s plastic-themed Fall 2009 collection. Crossing the boundary of gender identification, Kremer’s show featured men wearing transparent skirts and dresses and other outfits that clearly revealed their underwear. I would really enjoy seeing a man wearing these outfits out in the street. That would really make my day!  Utilizing a color palette of hot pink, brown, and black, Kremer presented a bold skin baring collection of largely monochromatic pieces. Playful and envelope pushing, Kremer continues to change the way we view clothes and their relationship with gender.
