Korean designer, Joongho Choi, has designed a modern re-interpretation of traditional Korean lanterns called Chorong.

Chorong comes in 2 versions: one with traditional light bulbs, and the other with LED. As a hanging light it can direct the light by pivoting on the pole, or can be held by hand, or can hang down on a fixed metal pole. The Chorong by Joongho Choi lets you decide how traditional or modern you want to be.

Suspended lamps are all the rage, but it seems they've gone from dramatic danglers to petite pods. This is fortunate for those afraid of affixing things to ceilings (like me)!
