Adding a sense of homeyness to a space without jeopardizing contemporary elegance is achieved with the Tonella Chair. Although its shape can be likened to a rustic wooden barrel, the design is anything but. Instead, the Tonella Chair boasts a streamlined silhouette that is at once sophisticated and playful. Not to mention its bucket seat provides amble room to curl up in with a good book.
The Tonella Chair was designed by Note Design Studio. Inspired by wine barrels found in Spain, its arms and its seats are made out of moulded polyurethane foam, which are then completely covered in leather or fabric upholstery design. The backrest is minimally quilted to continue the lines of the metal base -- which also mimics a barrels construction. The Tonella Chair is very chic.
