It's hard to be frightened or even slightly intimidated by the 8-bit aliens from the classic arcade game Space Invaders, but Tom Carruthers updated the vintage alien fleet in order to create some enemies that would instil fear in the most daring of heroes.
The characters and creature-modeling artist used the basic shape of the 8-bit aliens as a blueprint to create some absolutely terrifying monsters. With impressive modern technology, the new age space invaders look like something out of a Ridley Scott movie.
Like the aliens from the classic game, the monsters come in two distinct shapes, each with its own unique horrifying features. Complete with drooling fangs and blood stained teeth, Tom Carruthers's Space Invader's uses beautifully rendered graphics and terrifying imagery to revamp the vintage.
