Toby Knott Captures Old School Gangster Looks for Rollacoaster Magazine

The old school glam designs of Versace, Dior, Gucci and Calvin Klein make a comeback in the latest editorial by Toby Knott for Rollacoster Magazine. Starring Matt Wood­house and Toby Denyer, the shoot focuses on the much sought-after black and gold mobster look of the late 1980s, complete with turtlenecks paired with multiple chains.

From the heavily gelled hair to the white socks under black pants, the models look amazing, proving that fashion editor Way Perry nailed the styling for this shoot. Using contemporary pieces from top design houses and retailers like American Apparel, Perry creates the perfect tribute to a retro style that has been making a comeback in recent seasons. While it takes a certain amount of confidence to pull off some of these looks (and avoid looking like a lost member of Boyz II Men), I’m a firm believer that you can never go wrong with all-black everything, and Toby Knott’s snapshots prove it.
