Tobacco Plant Vaccines

Not only can it be used to create a cancer vaccine, researchers are saying that vaccine created from tobacco can be tailored to a patient’s tumor.

Similar studies have been done before but without the potential that is promised by the tobacco plant.  If it is successful, it not only means that we will have a new weapon in the fight against cancer, it is something that could be produced quickly, and more cheaply than the current expensive cancer drugs.

The vaccine is being tested on humans already. Here’s hoping they can take it to the stage where it is ready for release to the general public.

How ironic that the same plant that causes cancer could soon be curing it.
