Tiny Mouse, Giant Oxymoron

The Buffalo mouse, a mere 8mm thick, has a unique scrollwheel where the upward movements control the cursor and the downward movements act as mouse clicks. No, this isn't an iPod, though it certainly resembles one. The USB cable retracts by pushing a button which would be cool if I were using it as a clothesline. All in all, this is a great divergence from the seashell shape that dominates the mouse industry.

Implications - The world of technology is ever-evolving and gadgets are getting seemingly smaller and smaller. Consumers are traveling and commuting and want the comfort of being connected to the Internet or the convenience of being able to access their music on-the-go. Companies should strive to keep the concept of portability in the forefront of their minds while creating new products.
