These Festive Biscuits Creatively Substitute Jam for Gourd Puree

These homemade thumbprint cookies are ideal to bake during the fall season as the recipe creatively subs out the fruity jam centre and replaces it with delicious pumpkin puree and chocolate drizzle. This is a great recipe to make as it only requires a few ingredients and has minimal prep time.

With fall in the air more and more baked goods are incorporating pumpkins into cult favorite recipe as seen here with these pumpkin thumbprint cookies. The dough is made from a combination of all-purpose and whole wheat flour, vanilla, egg, sugar and butter. Once the dough is rolled into cookies it be pressed down with either a spoon or a thumb for the filling made from pumpkin, egg, vanilla and cinnamon to go in. Then the finish product is drizzled with chocolate and ready to serve.
