According to designer Jeremy Brown, This is [not] is a collection of work inspired by Magritte’s iconic ‘the treachery of images’ and its inscription, ‘Ceci n’est pas une pipe’ (this is not a pipe).
The function of the objects in This is [not] collection is shifted away from the ‘functional’ and more towards the reflective.
The resulting unusual designs of wine glasses and mugs are beautiful pieces of art that may not be very practical, but very fun and exciting to use.
