Montreal-based photographer Thibault Carron created this comical editorial series titled ‘And If Fashion Was…’ The series depicts what today's woman would look like dressed in a Victorian-styled 18th century wardrobe -- wig included.

Thibault Carron uses herself as the subject for this collection. Dressing up in a large white wig, a tight corset and a floor-length ruffled dress, she hits the streets to show off this vintage-themed look. In each image, the outdated woman is placed in today’s average city scenery. The images vary from the woman waiting at the bus stop, playing video games or pumping gas.

The goal for And If Fashion Was… aims to show the audience what it would be like if 18th century clothing became fashionable again. Additionally, the images bring a fresh perspective to the vastly different cultural values, beliefs and styles that existed just a few centuries ago.
