The Self-Balancing Unicycle: Not Just For Circus Performers Edit

The Self-Balancing Unicycle: Not Just For Circus Performers

Some people may perceive unicycles as ‘toys for the lazy’.  However, research has shown that riding a unicycle may not only increase one’s balancing skills and coordination, it may also increase one’s level of concentration.  One of the much awaited unicycles is Focus Design’s Self-Balancing Unicycle, or the SBU.  Knowing its features aside from its benefits is a good way to determine why many people may be excited about the Self- Balancing Unicycle.

The Self-Balancing Unicycle made by Focus Designs could give the Segway a run for its money.  It utilizes the same kind of technology incorporated into the Segway, with accelerometers as well as gyroscopes that help the SBU keep its users in an upright position.  Focus Design’s Self-Balancing Unicycle definitely gives its users greater control, without the need to rely on pedals.

Focus Designs shows us the beauty of man and machine working together to achieve balance and coordination through the Self-Balancing Unicycle.  Light enough to carry anywhere, more affordable than the Segway, and easier to control—-these features make the Self-Balancing Unicycle stand out.  Gone are the days wherein unicycles were only used by circus performers; with the SBU, anyone could enjoy the features and benefits of ‘unicycling.
