Studio Pacific Architecture in association with Warren and Mahoney have designed an unusual looking terminal, The Rock, specially for Wellington International Airport in New Zealand.
Quite different from a traditional terminal, The Rock's design is based on an eco-friendly concept. With a fresh aesthetic, the terminal is intended to create a unique and memorable experience for travelers. The $45 million structure is made from economical and recycled building components.
Implications - The eco movement has informed to a largest extent contemporary social values. Studio Pacific Architecture and Warren and Mahoney have created a design that is unparalleled and certainly sets the Wellington International Airpot apart from other international airports. You do not need to travel to Wellington to see this design, you can just flip through the images.
