The PocketPlug Cuts the Charging Cord

You've got to wonder why something like the PocketPlug wasn't created earlier. This ingenious smartphone case makes the wall charger and USB charger obsolete. It integrates prongs directly into a phone case, letting you charge your smartphone simply by flicking the prongs. Oh, and there's also a spot for a Micro-USB cord.

The PocketPlug works for the iPhone 4, 4S and 5, with a Samsung Galaxy S3 version forthcoming. While you can't exactly use your phone while it is flush up against the wall, it's still nice to not have to pack an extra piece of tech. This case should especially appeal to backpackers; travelers know that things often become lost or forgotten when trekking around the world (less is often best). The case is available now for $59.95 (iPhone 4 and 4S) and $69.95 (iPhone 5). Stats for Phone-Charging Smartphone Sheaths Trending: Older & Buzzing
