 $15,000 Meridian Model 800 DVD Player Meridian’s famous 800 optical disc player has just been updated to Version 4. Since its introduction, the 800 has consistently come out on top in reviews and received awards for its outstanding quality of picture and sound. Version 4 improves sound and picture with the latest Meridian DSP technology. An upcoming firmware update will allow up to 1080p display.  What do you get for $15,000? Robert Stuart, the co-founder of Meridian rephrased the question to ‘What do you get for so little?’ The Model 800 DVD Player is believed to be the pinnacle in audio and video processing technologies. The player plays video recorded in the American NTSC and European PAL systems and uses proprietary software to decode the audio, complex processing to increase picture resolution and extra buffer memory.
