New Landmark in Szervita Square Edit
The Next Big Thing in Budapest

The next big thing in Budapest, Hungary, is quite big. It’s a 21st century architectural masterpiece that will be build in the inner city of Budapest on Szervita Square, surrounded by great pieces of architectural work from passed centuries.

A state of the art building with high quality work spaces would strengthen the multifunctional character and urban vitality of Budapest’s city centre. We perceive the need to balance divers’ requirements: Keeping the importance of the cultural heritage in mind the issue is to reconcile the functional, economic and historic preservation needs of the city centre. ... We feel that aesthetic and atmospheric rejuvenation is always an essential part of preservation - preserving the vitality of a historic city centre.”

Though I don’t see the connection with the cultural heritage, I can see that this will definatly be a landmark of Budapest, showing that Budapest is not only a city of yesteryears, but also of tomorrow.
