Spider Venom - The New Viagra

Scientists from Rambam Hospital in Haifa, Israel are studying the venom of three kind of spiders - black widow, atrax and the phoneutria nigriventer - found in latinamerica, which is supposed to cause prolongated erections.

The chief of the neuro-urology department, Yoram Varadi, has been working with his team for the last 6 months in the possible use of the venom for impotence treatment. He says they need 2-3 years before the treatment may be available in the market.

The substance is dangerous and deadly but according to the research team in small dosis it may be useful for therapeutic use.  It works over the nervous system instead of the popular Viagra that causes dilation of the arteries.
