The Lettuce Safe is based on the concept that lettuce is a boring and unwanted vegetable and is therefore the perfect place to hide your valuables, since nobody in their right mind would a) ever steal a lettuce and b) ever think of looking inside of your lettuce for hidden goods.
So it’s a great idea in terms of practicality, but it can’t be doing much for lettuce self-esteem, now can it?
Unless you have a ravenous thief who overstays his welcome by rummaging through your kitchen, the Lettuce Safe is one of the better places to store your valuables... At the bottom of the Lettuce Safe is a 1.75" opening that snaps off to reveal the secret hiding place within. While the space offered is not much, it should be enough to cram in some cash, jewelry, a few diamonds, and even a flash drive if you have some valuable data.
Just make sure the items you store inside can survive cold temperatures, as a lettuce sitting on top of your desk is a dead giveaway.
