It’s been 30 years since the release of the seminal Nick Lowe masterpiece “Jesus Of Cool”, and very few albums have duplicated its impact on pop music and pop culture alike. To mark the 30th anniversary, Jesus Of Cool will be reissued (in the US it will be marketed under the title Pure Pop for Now People), with all material ever available on both the UK and US versions, in addition to 7 bonus cuts, which makes this the absolute definitive version. For extra bragging rights, make sure you score a copy on vinyl, of which there will be just one pressing. There’s a t-shirt too, but you only get one if you buy the album.  The album is a literal compendium of 25 years of pop music history. Here, the sweet melodies of pre-Beatles pop, the energy of the British Invasion, the excess of glam and elements of ska and new wave don't blend but stand side by side on the field of battle, each one willing to lay down his life for the other.
