Tamagotchi is back? Not sure, but the new virtual pet is launched by the same company that brought you the Tamagotchi. Bandai presents the Human Player, which bears an iPod-inspired look and new, more adult features.

Implications - This toy is ultimately an update on a familiar piece from your childhood. This time around, the Tamagotchi-like toy is much more customized to your personality--no matter how quirky or off-kilter you may be. The piece asks an array of adult questions, such as "Have you ever killed a man and gotten away with it?" in order to establish the personality of your liking. Strange? Yes. Cool? Definitely. The piece is sure to resonate well with today's unconventional consumer.
