China is to make history with the ongoing construction of the world’s tallest ferris wheel. At 680 feet, the $99 million Beijing Great Wheel is being built in Eastern Beijing’s Chaoyang Park. The tourist attraction will have 48 air conditioned compartments with a capacity of 1,920 passengers. The Great Wheel is scheduled to be opened to public on August 2008.
