The Ganesha is a delightfully unique cocktail that is inspired by Indian spice flavors. Thankfully, the drink doesn't involve dropping a teaspoon of garam masala, turmeric or red chilli powder into a cocktail glass but involves more subtle use of Indian spice.
This cocktail calls for two ounces of Bombay Sapphire gin, three quarters of an ounce of homemade grapefruit-masala syrup, three quarters of an ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice, one spoon of Martini dry vermouthe, three drops of Mumbai bitters and some elderflower espuma.
Perhaps the best version of The Ganesha is prepared by influential Miami-based mixologist Julio Cabrera. Cabrera has won numerous awards for his cocktails and even graced the cover of GQ Magazine's 'Men of the Year' issue. He says his cocktails are inspired by everything from flavors to cultures to people.
