There’s another classic from the Onion News network where they discuss the secret plans to trap the US athletes in Beijing, and how the Olympics are just an elaborate front that has tricked all of our best athletes.

Of course, it is a spoof, but it is very funny.  Onion News essentially takes the news and puts a light-hearted spin on it, making fun of the drama, conspiracy theories and the general sensationalism that is found in every form of media.

No smoke without fire? I have no doubt that there were people who did believe that this would happen!
