Tracking employee distractions has reached new extremes with the launch of TextGuard. This beta application blocks calls, text messages and SMS from Windows Mobile and Blackberry mobile phones. Rather than simply blocking the calls or text messages outright, however, TextGuard tracks the rejected communication, a move that makes the application relevant for both corporate and family uses. All blocked texts and calls are logged so that a parent or employer can view the contents and source of every blocked piece of communication. Image credits: James Cridland | Moriza | Moriza  "I remember feeling how intrusive texting could be and couldn't believe there was no way to stop someone from texting me," Cohan told the newspaper. With TextGuard, an employer or parent can log in from anywhere in the world and read all the messages and block texts from being sent or received, he said.
"Even when a sender is blocked, you can still see every message that was attempted to be sent to that number," Cohan said.
