Recently seen at the TIFF AWARD 2012 furniture international design competition, the Wood Chair by Teerayut Pengchai and Chavalit Banpot combines modern comfort with practical storage space.

The Wood Chair looks somewhat like the captain's chair from a sci-fi film. The sleek, smooth outline of the seat complements the chair's contemporary bowl-shaped design. More than just a seating option, the chair is perfect for storing books, laptops and perhaps a few reading snacks to go along with a novel.

The natural wood aesthetics of the chair gives it a rustic charm while the new age design establishes it as a progressive approach towards contemporary furniture. A great addition to an outdoor patio set, just be sure not to leave it out in the rain less you want the chair to double as a water fountain.
