The Talking Tamagotchi is a Japanese oddity that’s worth reading about.
Here is a crazy contraption from E-Revolutions a small talking box with a stick man sitting on it. A mini version of the stick man has to be placed in a flower vase so whenever you add water to the vase or touch the flowers the stick man speaks out randomly out of its 200 phases "Arent they lovely ?" and so on.
