Carrying your tiny pooch in your handbag is so passe. Now you can take your feathered friend for a walk in this backpack style pet bird carrier. It’s a great way to transport small birds such as parakeets, canaries and budgies to the vet.

The pack sports a mesh fabric so you can check on the bird as well as allow it to look out. Access is via zippers at the top and bottom. Bird mess? No problem. There is a removable tray at the bottom for easy cleaning. Besides the perch, there are a couple of loops to hang toys from.

This hands-free carrier is only available in black for $30 from Drs Foster and Smith.
