In an attempt to expand its breakfast menu, Taco Bell is experimenting with a variety of breakfast-themed taco shells for its morning menu. One of the items featured includes a taco made with a croissant style shell filled with popular breakfast menu items.

Dubbed the Croissant Taco, these breakfast dishes contain a flat and folded buttery croissant complete with a filling made from sausage, eggs and bacon or a more simplified egg-only version. The brand is also allegedly testing out waffle and biscuits taco shells.

This is a smart move on Taco Bell's part as it is finding a way to adapt popular breakfast foods to its Mexican-themed menu rather than the other way around. This ensures a streamlined sense of branding that still offers a diversity in popular flavors that consumers are searching for.
