Taco Bell Explore is a Puzzle Game That's Activated with Keywords & Hashtags

'Taco Bell Explore' is an interactive game app that was created with a mobile rewards company called Kiip.

It works by linking to a user's social media accounts, where it can then detect if they're using specific keywords and hashtags that connect to those being featured within the game. If one is found, the user gets a notification from Taco Bell Explore and they're rewarded with a new puzzle piece. Once they've completed a puzzle, consumers are given coupons that get them some of the fast food chain's menu items, which they can order right through the Taco Bell Explore app as well.

In creating the app, the company is able to reward consumers in a way that doesn't require them to post about its products specifically. Rather, it responds to social activity that could be about virtually anything, such as a selfie or travel picture. In addition to keywords and hashtags, Taco Bell Explore also rewards users for their likes and check-ins.
