Sustainable Building Edit

This is a view approaching the latest addition to the Tea Factory are on the hilltop township of Cameron Highlands, truly a lightweight building structure, using only the most sustainable materials. The facade is composed of cut slices of fallen timber, framed into a standard module to form the 170m long external skin of the building. An award winning Visitor Centre, recently opened to the public. During its entire construction period not a single tree was felled, indeed one very large one can be seen standing right up against the back wall!
