If home security through surveillance cameras is the utmost importance for you and if Google is your all-time favorite search engine, you're in for a treat. Google is set to buy out DropCam, which for those unfamiliar is a streaming surveillance camera that uploads your footage to a cloud server so you can view your dogs, children and neighbor from anywhere.

While this may sound a little suspicious, it's a convenient way to monitor what's happening at home while you're out on the town. While the deal between Google and the surveillance company has not yet been finalized, the search engine's ownership of the $150 camera that streams footage from your smartphone may become a reality in the very near future.
