I’m not so sure about this design by Hector Galvan of Studio Omelette. First, the sand I’m used to digging in—I always hit water when I get about a foot down, and the back of the El Compadre beach chair is longer than that.

Second, jamming it into the sand would require the strength of two surfer dudes. Check out the gallery above to see more of Hector Galvin’s El Compadre chairs.
