Stumble Streaming Indie Music - Stumbleaudio

Stumbleaudio is a new music version of the wildly popular Stumbleupon which lets you “stumble” recommended websites found by other people.

Stumbleaudio cleverly uses the same prefix to show that the site works the same way as the original Stumble.  What is different about Stumbleaudio is that members get to discover Indie music. The chances are good the music is something people have not heard before.  Users are not asked what their favourite artist or song is, but what channels they like - jazz, hiphop etc. The “station” then comes up with other artists in that category.

Just like Stumbleupon, members can either give a thumbs up or down, or stumble for a new selection. There is no limit to how many you can skip and there are a lot to check out.

Stumbleaudio had a catalog of over 120,000 artists and 2 million songs at its launch. The site also offers the ability to savour every song in an artist’s album. The music is bought through MP3 download sites and CDs via links on the site.
