Studioapart 'Design Florian Gross & Kike MacĂas' is a young design studio from Spain and Germany, located in Barcelona and working in interior and product design. They will present their new shelf system -- Andamio Shelf -- this year at the Ex-t Showroom in Milan, during the Salone internazionale del mobile. They are one of the 4 Winners by the Ex-t Competition 2013

The Andamio Shelf is a modular shelving system that was inspired by traditional Asian scaffolding. The system is playing with the spirit of simplicity and functionality through the materials and compounds of the different parts. One feature is the type of installation, which can be assembled without any tools. The modular system is adjusted to the appropriate height to cover different functions. It consists of three basic levels, which can dock to each other very easily and also the width is endlessly expandable.

The material is environmentally friendly and made out of recyclable materials. The structure is made of solid oak wood and the boards are made of 3mm recycled, painted aluminum surfaces. Stats for Scaffolding-Inspired Shelfing Trending: Older & Warm
