Story Telling Suits - Social Suicide Designers (GALLERY)

Awesome range of suits from UK based designer Social Suicide and for once they really are men’s suits with a difference.

The Spring 2008 collection includes the track suit; made from sporting fabrics - the same ones Galaxy use no less. And social suicide proudly declare it is indeed 100% Polyester. The scout features well scout badges and there are pieces influenced by cricket.

For me it is the classics range that really stands out.

The John Holmes (named after a 70’s porn star of 14” credentials) is black pin-stripe jacket featuring a tailor’s measuring tape. Which of course is 14 ‘inches’, shoulder to shoulder regardless of the size. The Pearly Queen features 400 hand sewn mother of pearl buttons which form an image of HRH; Armed features a gun and the words armed, Shark features gill like detail under the arms, AK47 has a rifle is embroidered over the shoulder in black, on black. Finally Dury is a plain black jacket with a razzle magazine (it’s a porn mag) embroidered on the inside.
