For some, seeing those storm clouds rolling in is a little therapeutic—especially when the storm starts and the thunder begins. It's too bad there aren't more thunder storms, because there's no feeling like falling asleep to the subtle thuds of rain pellets on the roof.

Artist Richard Clarkson has experimented with products like lights and furniture in time split between New York and New Zealand studios. His most recent creation is called Cloud, and is basically an interactive light shaped like a cumulus cloud that simulates a thunderstorm.

The cloud flashes with light and sound on external input from either a remote control or motion sensors. It's really something magical just to sit back and watch, like having your own personal thunderstorm inside your house.
