'Soundtrack Your Brand' is a new service that allows brands and retailers to control store playlists through Spotify. The idea behind the business is largely to help retailers ensure they are streaming music legally in public venues and retail locations.

Soundtrack Your Brand operates by selling Spotify music subscriptions to businesses such as restaurants, bars and retail shops. The service allows business to draw on the popularity of streaming services such as Spotify, without the legal issues of royalties and music licensing. By giving retailers and brands control over store playlists, the service also allows these companies to determine how music affects their customers and what particular genres cause consumers to purchase more.

Soundtrack Your Brand is currently operating in a number of single-venue retail locations in Sweden and the plan is to eventually roll the service out across Europe and into the US market.
