Each day, millions of plastic coffee stirrers are thrown out after a two-second stir at coffee shops. This chandelier by Studio Veríssimo was created out of hundreds of plastic stir sticks, acting as a fine example of the beauty that can be created when we create from an eco savvy place.

Studio Veríssimo, a Portuguese design firm, displayed the chandelier at New York Design Week’s Touch | NY exhibit.

While we’re on the topic, Starbucks recently made over their coffee stirrers and added signs on their containers to remind people to hold onto their stir sticks for reuse in the future.
