The Stein No. 1 Coffee Table is Wood Sculpted Smoothly to Look Like a Stone

In the modern age, objects made from natural materials have an ever more profound appeal. The Stein No. 1 Coffee Table is one of such creations that proudly expresses its organic qualities in a way that artificially manufactured items cannot imitate.

This is the first piece of Kaspar Hamacher’s new series of furnishings, crafted by the designer in his characteristic style. The table has been sawed and sanded from a segment of an oak tree’s trunk to produce a sumptuous sculptural stone-like creation that still celebrates its winsome woodgrain texture.
