'Stealing Banksy?' is a controversial art project and auction that explores the social, legal and moral issues surrounding the sale of street art for profit. The exhibition showcases eight of the most recognizable and expensive street art pieces produced by renowned British graffiti artist Banksy.

Various Banksy pieces were removed from their original locations and restored in preparation for the auction, which took place between April 25-27. The pieces include iconic works, including 'Liverpool Rat,' 'Sperm Alarm' and 'Girl With a Red Balloon,' which Justin Bieber got tattooed on his arm.

The organizers of 'Stealing Banksy?' claim that by removing the artwork of the streets, restoring them and auctioning them off, they are ensuring that the pieces will remain in good condition for future generations to witness. Many of the pieces were located in public areas and disintegrating. Stats for Stolen Street Art Auctions Trending: Older & Average
