Ealing Council, in London, is using hidden cameras in BAKED BEAN TINS to catch residents putting their rubbish earlier than permitted, or committing the terrible crime of having a split bin bag.

If caught in such a terrible act the so called ‘enviro-criminals’ can have a on the spot fine can be up to £1000. The camera’s cost £200 each and are triggered by movement sensors. Naturally the residents of Ealing are up in arms feeling their council tax could be better spend on things such as transport or education.

But local resident Danny Christie, 64, as been branded in the press as saying the scheme was “utterly insane”. So say all of us
