The Sprimo Personal Air Monitor is a new device that lets you instantly measure the air quality around you. The device plugs into an iPhone's Lightning port and works using a corresponding app. The dongle measures humidity, temperature and the amount of volatile organic compounds in the air. Once a reading is completed a number in a colored circle is displayed onscreen. Low numbers and green means the air quality is good. Higher numbers and colors closer to red mean the air quality is poorer.

The Sprimo Personal Air Monitor also encourages users to share air quality ratings. Once a rating is shared users can see nearby patches of town to either avoid or flock to. The makers of the Sprimo Personal Air Monitor have taken to Kickstarter to fund their creation. Currently a pledge of $20 is enough to secure a single Sprimo.
