The latest in sporty watches reveals Autodromo Prototipo Chronographs as the leader, founded by Bradley Price for $625 a piece. Perhaps the watches are pricey for some tastes, but they not only recognize the romanticism and beauty of early auto racing; they capture the design of his work even in gloves and sunglasses too.

His two latest releases in the Prototipo Chronograph series certainly evokes the late 60s and early 70s with barrel cases and retro-tinged color palettes, but there's also beautifully modern finishes and details that bring each piece into the modern world.

The brand's aesthetic is about recreating the era of motoring, whether it’s racing across local roads or highway adventures. Though they feel like they could've existed in the past, they're distinctly modern through minor visual cues.
