Spire by Philipp von Hase Boasts a Spot to Pot a Plant

Sometimes paying tribute to a divine presence such as Mother Nature can be tacky, wacky and everything in between, but Spire by Philipp von Hase, a designer born and raised in Hanover, Germany, is a table that is far from that. Perhaps a tad too simple, it takes on the form of a seed, which is only appropriate considering that at its center is a spot reserved for a potted plant. Not to mention that it was created for a seed center in Bergen.

Spire by Philipp von Hase is made out of fine walnut and maple wood while the bowl for the plant is fashioned out of porcelain. It was inspired by Hundertwassers’ Baummieter and Goldsworthys seed sculptures. Stats for Seed-Shaped Table Trending: Older & Chilly
