Spinal Tap is a parody-heavy metal band. They were the subject of the film, ‘This is Spinal Tap’ that came out in 1984. The band members were played in the film by Michael McKean (as David St. Hubbins,) Christopher Guest (as Nigel Tufnel) and Harry Shearer (as Derek Smalls.)
In the past few days, news has broke that Spinal Tap is releasing a third album to celebrate their 25th anniversary. The album will have 19 tracks, 11 of which are newly recorded versions of old hits. Who knows what other 80s bands will resurrect with Spinal Tap back from the dead.
