Trend Hunter has told you about Polyvore before, a website that allows you to make photo collages by hand picking the hautest fashions from a huge collection of websites, from Style.com to Bluefly.com. Not only is it great exposure for bigger online fashion stores, but it’s also an exceptional way to drive traffic to up and coming designers. Space Mermaid is one of those, and they’ve used Polyvore’s contest platform to launch an interactive ad campaign.

Choosing a minimum of two pieces from the jewelry site, contest entrants are asked to create a collage to display their favourite SpaceMermaid.com picks.

I put together three different entries which can be seen in the gallery.

It’s a great way to become familiar with a brand, and even after a few moments of playing around with different ensembles, I grew quite fond of the pieces I was featuring.
