The Sorted Books Project is one of those happy accidents that could only result from trial and error. It is a collection of stacked book titles, which are arranged such that their spines as a whole tell a story. Click through the gallery to see what I mean.

These stacked books become short stories and sculptures all at once. The Sorted Books Project is the painstaking work of Nina Katchadourian. It’s a beautiful reminder of the inherent importance of a title, and a stunning visual work of art as well.
