The VW Eos "Shadow Poster" proves that the sun can go beyond providing alternative energy.
With their latest advertisements promoting the convertibles, Volkswagen shows us that the sun can also increase the number of cars test driven, and as a result, boost sales.
"Everywhere we put it up, the shadow poster not only caused a stir but also increased the number of test drives by more than 12%. Thus the 2,000 Euro poster caused a positive PR in the value of about 200,000 Euros," a rep from the German auto manufacturer said.
The world's first shadow poster is a finalist in the London International Awards 2007 under the Ambient Outdoor Category. DDB Dusseldorf is responsible for this very simple yet powerful ad.
