This solar bike could be even better for the environment than a traditional two-wheeler. The Dutch Solar Cycle is a sun-powered electric bicycle that has a goal of zero emissions. The invention is the first of its kind to integrate solar energy with this form of electric transportation.

The Dutch Solar Cycle also takes into account cloudy weather and dirty solar panels. The solar bike uses unique technology with a nano-inverter to store more power from a single solar cell. Created by Solar Application Lab, the panels are located on the wheels, which send energy to a battery. The bicycle doesn't need to charge indoors or be plugged in, which will be a relief to forgetful cyclists. The battery can also be charged manually or the biker can pedal normally.
